Pat Haden is the New USC Athletic Director

The USC Trojans replaced the idiotic athletic director for a big hero. Pat Haden is the new athletic director for the Trojans and will replace Mike Garrett starting on next August 3^rd.

And if you’re a fan of NCAA Football Betting, you should consider that Haden led the USC team to three Rose Bowl appearances back in the 70’s.

The new president of USC, Max Nikias, made the announcement of Garret’s replacement, in which he praised Garret for his work done at USC.

For his part, Mike Garrett won the 1965 Heisman Trophy as a tailback for USC and was a professional football player with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers for eight seasons. In 1993, he became the athletic director at USC and will end his work with the Trojans this year.

The new director, Haden, was the USC Trojans quarterback before becoming a professional player in the NFL and then became an analyst for NBC during the Notre Dame games, the top rival of USC.

Haden did not arrive to the team at the right time, taking into account the scandals in which Reggie Bush and O.J. Mayo were involved.

And there is one thing for sure. If you break an NCAA rule, the consequences will not be easy.

However, this is a big challenge for Haden, who will have to be responsible of keeping an extremely clean football program in order to achieve good results in his new stage as a director.

UCLA Bruin Boards in Chaos after USC’s victory

Let me say I am a Ben Howland supporter but this is more than pathetic. Yes we lost people to the NBA but we have a team that can barely get the ball out of bounds against pressure defense. Our team right now has three players that look like they even belong in a UCLA uniform. Nelson, Honeycutt, and Roll.

This team is slow, has no quickness, can not shoot, or even have guards that can finish a break away.

I refuse to believe that Ben spent a lot of time watching Jerime Anderson in high school. I see how he missed on Lee because he has skills, even though he can’t shoot. I am positive that Ben had not seen Bobo Morgan play. I think he signed him on word of mouth.

Also, I can not believe Ben let Alex Stephenson get away to SUC. I am sure we would have had him if he really wanted him. Of course Drew Gordon seemed to have that slot locked up.

The good news is help is on the way. Lazeric Jones is better than any point guard that we have and will be one of the better PG’s in the PAC 10. Tyler Lamb will help.

I think it is time to give the younger guys a ton of PT. I noticed Moser got in tonight. That kid will be better after lifting weights. One of the things with Moser is that he does not look 6-7 to me. He looks more like 6-4 ans a half.

I dispise what Ben Howland has turned us into a lousy West Coast team who will not even have a winning record I remember when Ucla was relevant we had guards who would abuse Mike Gerrity he looks like a world beater vs our lousy slow footed athletes What a terrible dissapointing year I can’t wait till this season we may lose 5 of the last 7 games.

Good analysis, though I would disagree that Anderson can’t get into the lane. This is the only area I’m impressed with, his ability to get into the lane. He just doesn’t know what to do when he gets there.

I don’t post much, but I’m just so fed up with this season I’ve got to vent somewhere. I knew going in that we weren’t supposed to expect much, so it’s not the losing that has me so angry. It’s the lack of heart, the emotional void, the silence from our team to our fans. It’s the complete lack of improvement, seeing the same mistakes game in and game out. The offense is stagnant, the defense is mediocre at best, the venue is empty, and the boards finally have a legitimate reason to be as negative as they love to be. For the first time I truly believe Howland is doing a poor job. I’ve disagreed with some of his moves before, but for the most part I’ve loved the finished product. I in no way want him gone, but some of his moves are seriously baffling. Today, putting Anderson in with 4 minutes to go, WTF?! We were picking up momentum and that move totally killed it. I see people pointing out individual players, but this whole team stinks, even the good ones. Anderson isn’t D-1 material, Drago is a shooter that can’t shoot, you never know what you’ll get from Roll, Malcolm is a caged pitbull that can’t bite when he’s let out, Keefe is a complete space cadet, Reeves and Honeycut kill us with their free-throw shooting, and Mustafa…well I like him.

If I wasn’t such a masochist I’d stop watching the games. But I went to school during the Lavin years, so I’ve learned to live with let downs. I know the ship will be righted, but it won’t be this season. I don’t gripe because I expected wins, I gripe because I expect at some point they’ll find their pride and play with some fire. I hate to say it, but while I was programmed to hate sc, I do love their team right now. A bunch of overachievers who play with reckless abandon, nothing to lose, and always have someone so fired up that they can’t help but yell out on the court. To the classy fans, congrats on the sweep.

And to my fellow Bruins, thanks for giving me a place to vent. I look forward to having something to cheer about..

After Pete Carroll’s departure from USC, the hottest seat in college football was without a coach. Former USC coach Lane Kiffin is back at USC with his dad Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron.

Today, he was introduced as the new USC head coach and brought much needed energy to a program that was in dismay after the departure of Pete Carroll.

“I’m coming back to the greatest job in America.” Lane Kiffin said after being questioned by reporters on why he departed Tennessee after only 14 months.

L.A. Times writer TJ Simers tried to evoke Lane Kiffin in discussion by continuous asking if coach Ed Orgeron tried to convince any Tennessee recruits to switch to USC. Mike Garrett stepped in for once and prompt Lane Kiffin to take the next question.

After the press conference was over, the discussion was not over as former Trojan Keyshawn Johnson got in discussion with TJ Simers.

Lane Kiffin did not reveal his staff beside Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgreon. He did say that they’re going slow building a staff since they want to build the best staff possible.

-No update in regards to Norm Chow being the Offensive Coordinator. Chow’s staying at UCLA.

Yesterday News-There’s rumors that Norm Chow will be hired as the Offensive Coordinator, but he wants NFL-type money.

Yesterday News-Tim Davis, Offensive Line coach for the Minnesota Gophers is also rumored headed back to USC.
