Former Fordham guard Jio Fontan to transfer to USC

2009 December 21

Former St.Anthony standout and Fordham guard Jio Fontan to transfer to USC.

Fontan, who lead Fordham in scoring 15.3 pts and 4.7 assists per game.

He’ll be eligible the second semester of the 2011 season.

Jio Fontan was a hot transfer who was also been recruited by several other schools: Indiana, Tennessee, Miami, Kansas St, and Oklahoma St.

According to Scout.com, Fontan was a three star prospect and #13 best point guard in his class.

The first recruit that Kevin O’Neil has brought into the USC program. Fontan to USC is a good additon to USC since we lack depth and experience at the guard position.
